Opening ceremonies were held to launch
the largest timber processing enterprise of
the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Midway United’s
Eniseisky Plywood Mill LLC. The observance
was attended by Boris Gryzlov, Chairman of
the State Duma, Lev Kuznetsov, Governor of
the Krasnoyarsk Territory, representatives
of the regional administration and VTB Bank,
including Yulia Golygina, VTB Vice
President, and Tatyana Bugaeva, VTB Bank
Krasnoyarsk Branch Manager.
This project, which is on the list of
Russia’s priority investment projects, was
implemented with financial support of VTB
Bank. The Bank’s total investment in the
company exceeded USD 170 million.
Vadim Vasilyev, General Director of
Eniseisky Plywood Mill LLC, said: “Today we
are launching the largest state-of-the-art
plywood production in Russia. It is the
first step on the way to creating a powerful
multi-faceted timber processing facility for
production of plywood, oriented strand
boards and fuelwood pellets”.
Nikolay Ustinov, VTB Bank Senior Vice
President, commented: “I am glad that this
large-scale project, which is very important
for the development of Russia’s timber
industry, was brought to life with VTB Bank
support. VTB continues to be interested in
financing Russian industrial enterprises,
whose business is in line with development
priorities of Russian regions”.
